Selling some DSLR gear. Took my D500 in hand and snapped a few pics. Great feeling and sound. That mirror moving up and down brings back fond memories.

Anyone else?

No memory for me! I still have and use the SLR I had since the early 80's.

Buy a cheap old non-electric film SLR, with operating shutter and mirror, with a really pronounced audible slap, and fondle it and crank and trigger it to your hearts content.
Probably theraputic for blood pressure and mental health.

Good idea! Sold off my film stuff couple of years ago.

The age of the DSLR is over. The time of the MILC has come!

Put in a roll of film and watch how fast it can be used up! Then remember the price of developing that film! All of a sudden, you start finding the "decisive moment" to trip the shutter! Always good to go back and remind one's self what the photographic objective is!

"Anyone else?" See below...

First Two Images:

Last Image:
Camera: Nikon D3x
Lens: AF 300mm f/2.8 Tokina Prime

I actually prefer the gentle tactile feel of my Kolinsky Sable Makeup Brushes on my agency model's silky soft skin and their flawless complexion. And so do my agency models

btw: The intricate work and dexterity required to assemble a Kolinsky Sable Makeup Brush means that these brushes are almost exclusively made by women. It typically takes over three years to train the artisans, and there are only nine brush makers in the world that can produce these top-of-the-line makeup tools.

My all time fav? Kolinsky Sable Eyeshadow Brushes. Why? The skin of the eyelid is the most delicate of the entire human body. The clients who sits in my makeup chair truly recognizes and appreciates the superb worth/value of the perceptible gentle touch that Kolinsky Sable brings to the mix.

Hope this helps folks understand the complexities of working in the Beauty Genre.

I hear my shutter clicks all the time. If I'm in a quiet setting with a lot of people I do the "silent" shutter release.

Someone just asked if anyone here had a D500 they want to sell in the last couple of days.

Yes! Hated waiting for the processed film to be returned.

I hate to admit this, but I turn on the shutter sounds and turn up the volume. Makes me feel MUCH better. Of course, in situations where shutter sounds are annoying to others, including participants, I turn the sounds completely off. Best of luck.

I found Thomas902's information interesting and even googled Kolinsky brushes but I am at a loss as to how the post fits with DSLR Feel. Perhaps it was an ad for Kolinsky.
It did contain a bit of nostalgia as I still own a F3 with a 50mm f1.4 and a FE which sports a 28mm f2.8 lens.

D500 with Nikon grip, 500pF hangin off of it. Harrier is on the tail of a Robin. Hard to beat combo in that instance. Quick to point easy to follow subjects with that rig.
