My buddy arranged for a boat to take us up the Pascagoula River and into the swamplands. I had told him prior to the trip that I didn't want to be in the same place with alligators and, sure enough, we never saw a single gator in the swamp. Wonder how he pulled that off?!
I had the 28-300mm FF lens with me on my D750, on the off chance I might get the opportunity to photograph some birds close enough to show up. It was a stretch, but I did get a few keepers as reminders of my first trip to the swamp.
I found myself using the S24+ for many of the landscapes, though, and the D750 on the birds.

Wonderful set, Diane! Landscapes, birds and some terrific leading lines.
You and your combo did an excellent job.
You got some beautiful images. I'd want to not see a 'gator also!
To see a gator down here in Bama you have to put your foot in the water first . Be sure and have the camera ready for a spectacular colorful shot .
