I’m a long time member of UHH and have been on a leave of absence due to on-going medical problems. I’ve lost my mobility and can no longer go on photo walks with my camera so I decided to pull out some of my oldies and give them one more run around the track. I miss the interaction with my old photo buddies.

This is really nice. Can you get around with a wheelchair?

Thank you, glad you liked it. I use a walker with a seat for around the house and short distances but it needs to be on smooth, flat surfaces. If I go too far, my legs give out and I fall. All of my photo walks were in natural settings (grass, dirt, hills, etc) which I can’t do at all any more. Thanks for asking.

Thank you, Curmudgeon. It was really cold the day I took it.

Really nice shot John. I also have mobility issues and been using a walker for about the last 6 months. I HATE it!
Hoping to get back to a cane eventually through physical therapy. Like you I can no longer take many of the shots I really enjoyed. However, you'd be surprised how many photo opportunities you'll find from your car.
Good luck and keep posting

I appreciate you telling me your story, Mr. Spock. I’ve walked a 20 minute mile for exercise every morning for over 40 years. When I retired in 2010, I decided to slow down my pace, increase the time and bring my camera with me. Really loved it and kept it up for 10 years when my health began to decline. Now I can’t move without a walker or I fall down. I’m lost without my walks and camera so I’m posting from my archives.
Now that the weather is better, I’m going to try getting outside a little with my walker and cellphone camera. We live near the seashore and there is a sidewalk and benches all along the waterfront. My wife will take me there and read on one of the benches while I try to spread my wings a little. I hope we both get lucky.

I'll be pulling for both of you!
High-impact photo, John. Do you recall if that was an early-winter storm, or one of those ha-ha moments from Mother Nature in April?
I'm curious because it seems that those boats should have been stored somewhere safe and dry.
You pulled up a beauty from the archives, John. Thanks for sharing it.
