I love your use of perspective and low camera angles, great series.
Thank you. It's not so easy to get down low anymore but I still do it. I'm retired and have all day to get up.

nice, love #2 and #8.
Thanks. I was thrilled to have clouds on the day I got those photos; otherwise I wouldn't have taken either of them.

Great compositional work. You got it good down that way. Beautiful part of country to live in.
You're right. It's not for everyone but the area suits me. Thanks for looking.

Thanks. There's just so much to see.
With something like 130 miles of trail, plus its proximity to where I live, Fort Bayard has long been one of my favorite areas to explore. I used to run the trails with my dogs; now I like to wander the areas between trails and beyond fences. I have two trail cameras out there and may add a third. The terrain varies between open grassland, rocky hills, and lush (by New Mexico standards) riparian areas which of course are sometimes full of cows. Many of the trails were once military and mining roads so they can follow steep, exposed, and unimaginative routes, but the views and small scenes make up for that. Here is some of what I've been seeing lately.
That coati really has some battle scars!
I think the wall itself would make a good study without the railing. The hole in the plaster and the patterns and textures around it are interesting. When my town was in lockdown I had a blast photographing images similar to yours, and then indulging in wild processing. There were no people around to distract me, and to my not great surprise most of the town showed evidence of advanced decay.
If this photo were in color I might wonder why you posted it, but the B & W turned out great. Did you make the image with conversion in mind? I am impressed.
