Thanks Dennis. It’s been too long since we’ve made it up to God’s country.

Oh my gosh. Thank you very much Ron for a very pleasant and positive comment. It is for all type of people I post these photographs and your comment adds yet maybe another reason OR maybe your comment exhibits all other comments combined. Most people, …

Is that your daughter with you in the picture. She is a lovely young lady.

Thank you again,

Dennis

Oh you’re a sly fox, Dennis. That’s my wife, and if she could she’d really be flattered. Unfortunately, the past few years have seen Alzheimer’s and dementia replace a wonderfully active mind. But, she’s still my sweetheart and sidekick.

Thanks again for the comments - I’d venture to say you may be a kindred spirit.

Dennis, I’ve enjoyed seeing all your short weapons today. The photography is right on and the subjects are fantastic. Lots of folks don’t understand the appeal for revolvers and pistols, but all are terrific examples of machine art and function. And they go “bang”, which always gets a grin from me. I’m not a collector, nor a hunter since marrying my sweet wife almost 60 years ago, but I still have a few guns around from my past. And Cowboy Action Shooting gave me an excuse to add a few more and burn more gunpowder in a few months than I’ve probably burned in my lifetime. Tons of fun. But, those .44 original Ruger Vaqueros sure feel a lot heavier at 81 than they did at 61!

Again, thanks for an enjoyable series.

Fantastic movie! I didn’t realize Kevin Costner provided Enzo’s voice.
I agree that it’s a movie for both dog lovers and racing fans. An all time great.

Never had a desire for a Rolex, real or fake. Ditto for all the other “look at me” brands. I’d quit wearing a watch at all until my son finally talked me into trying an Apple watch. Now, it’s off my wrist only to charge. I mainly use it to keep watch on me, health wise. Like someone said, to each his own.

If turkeys really had balls like that you'd think they could fly!

Oh, they can definitely fly. First time I saw one in the air was during an orienteering meet. Looked like a bomber flying over. Up until then I’d assumed they were too heavy.

Super! First set I’ve seen where sun flares show up well.

I got a good series of the corona, each different. When I scan through them quickly it’s almost like watching the corona come to life.
I was lucky.

I used to avoid FB like the plague. But I discovered the “groups”, such as this drone related one, and since then I check it out often. I have supplied minimal information, have only a handful of “friends”, never post anything personal, and my pic is not very identifiable. The only posts I do are comments in some of the groups, and those contain no personal info. I’ve blocked posts from some “friends” that insisted on me knowing what they ate, where they are, etc. I have zero interest in what they are doing or eating or whatever. I’ve turned off all FB notifications and such and that keeps me blissfully unaware of all that mess.

Meanwhile, there’s a lot of interesting stuff in the FB groups.

I’ll add three of my photos to the mix. Entry diamond ring, Totality, and Exit diamond ring.

Feel free to add your photos so this thread could offer “one stop shopping”.

We did the Durango-Silverton back in early 90s. Happened to catch the very last train of the season. Not too many passengers so we got to roam from open to closed cars and it was a total hoot. The advantage of the late fall trip was most of the leaves had fallen from the trees except for evergreens, so the mountain views were spectacular. This was late October. I figure a couple of weeks earlier would have found some fall color and still left much of the wonderful views. The weather was Colorado nippy and being able to go out to the open cars let us experience that nippy along with getting some soot on us from the coal fired steam engine. We did the full round trip so it took all day. The only negative was most of the shops in Silverton had closed for the winter. We were still able to grab a nice lunch at a little restaurant.

Absolutely beautiful. The last photo looks like they maybe hadn’t done a final color sand and clear coat. I’m beginning to think the late 40’s models are my favorite.

You always do a spectacular job of photographing.
