Very nice. You may need a "traffic cop" at the feeder with all the action going on. Thanks for posting.

I know very well how useful technology can be for our photography and I know how important it is to update when it is necessary, after all if my camera AF is not performing to my liking nothing will improve my action and wildlife photography faster than a better AF system. But, what about the landscape photographer? I have been using a Nikon D7000 and a D610 for several years now and I do not feel I have the need to update anything, not even my lenses.

If you have the money and you want to burn it nothing will help you more to spend it faster than a new camera which advanced features you do not actually need. More megapixels? I have been perfectly happy with the 17 megapixels of my Olympus Pen EP-5 and EM 10 Mk II. Now I have a new camera, the OM-5 Mk. III sporting 20 megapixels and honestly, I do not see the difference when I enlarge. Between the D7000 and the D610, at least to my eyes and even when those cameras have a difference in the number of pixels I cannot see the difference either. We are all different and most probably your eyes are better than mine and you do see them.

For my style of photography the "old" stuff is more than I need.

If you need a new camera or want a new camera and you have the money to spend nothing wrong with it.

Excellent. Thanks for posting. In Chicago, we don't get to see the babies since the Juncos fly north in late April.

My take on this, not much different than others here. I certainly believe what Mr. Bergman stated in the video, the majority of us use images to post online and for that any camera will do a good job. For printing it all depends, more megapixels are not necessarily as he said better UNLESS cropping a good part of the image. Viewing distance we all know is important specially for those who peek. Get your exposure right, use good photo techniques, minimize noise and a 10 Mp camera will do an excellent job.

Some cameras, like Olympus, are capable of producing 45 or more megapixels. I do not have use for that, I am perfectly happy with a Nikon D610 capable of producing 24 Mp. although, to be honest, my old D7000 with 16 Mp. is very capable of beautiful enlargements and I seldom go beyond 12x18 inches. Come to think about it 24 Mp. are a lot of pixels for most uses. My 17 Mp. Olympus Pen EP-5 has given me beautiful enlargements.

If you post online as I said any camera will do and if you enlarge often to the most common sizes 24 Mp is more than enough. I have beautiful enlargements I made with my Nikon D2H that had only 4 Mp.
All this has been discussed many times before I just felt compelled to participate in the discussion.

The math of a beautiful image is easy: it has twice the megapixels of your current sensor.
