Is it only me, or do others wonder why Trump's defense team are adamantly trying to suppress the introduction of evidence in his case? Seems if he had done nothing wrong, there wouldn't be a need to eliminate anything from being admitted into evidence. You know, it's sort of like him saying only guilty people use the 5th, before using the 5th a few hundred times in depositions. This on the heels of news he met with oil company executives and asked for a billion dollars in campaign donations so he can loosen restrictions on oil exploration and give away federal land leases. You think he's gone as low as one can, but they keep lowering the curb.

Well, this was a first for me, and I almost fell for it. Received a request for payment (on PayPal) from someone I don't owe money to. In the notes section of the invoice, it says if you don't recognize this bill, please call this number to report it. So I did (I fell for the first part of a trap). A nice gentleman with an east Indian accent was very helpful. He asked to verify my account with my email address, which I gave him. Next, I received a text with a 6 digit code to change my password. He asked for the code. I said I don't want to change my password, I'm only trying to let you know someone is trying to get money from me. Then he said once I change my password they will send me a new one. I repeated, I don't wish to change my password. At which point he started yelling (I think he was so close and got frustrated) at which point I hung up. Paypal seems to be aware of this type of scam, but isn't too interested because it is difficult to notify them about it. BTW, I've changed my PayPal password via their website.

The youth of today doesn't know squat about our involvement in Vietnam, or why there was a second world war. Our youth is not learning history, and we are doomed to relive it...very much sooner than later. Nobody knows about propaganda, or how Hitler came to power, and many think THAT can never happen here. Kids today are living with their faces stuffed into a phone for immediate gratification, oblivious to current wars, where our troops are stationed, and what they are doing there.

I'm (still) in the process of setting up for some macro/still life at home studio work, and my tripod wasn't working well for a table-top ballhead support. I across a set of Lynx Levelers at Goodwill for $13, new on Amazon they are about $35. I figured if they will support a trailer, they should support my camera. They are 1" thick, and 8 inches square, and came in a 10-pack. They nest together securely. The center hole was plenty big, but not too big, for a 1.5" 1/4x20 bolt, and with some washers as spacers I was able to attach a ballhead to a single leveler. By cutting out the center section on one other leveler (used a PVC pipe cutter), the washers don't get in the way and the levelers will nest and allow me to adjust the height 1 inch at a time. They provide a lot more stability than my table top tripod ever did, although the height adjustment isn't as adjustable. It works for me!

Israel is spanking Hamas pretty bad, which is their MO. They bring a gun to a knife fight, or in this case they bring bombs to a gun fight. They aren't looking for a proportional response. They want to teach people not to mess with them or the gloves come off. Hamas could stop this by releasing any and all hostages and tuning over the criminals who organized and staged the violent attacks (which they'll never do because they are religious zealots who think differently than rational people).

You can buy a universal L-bracket on ebay for about $12. That would save me the cost of a metal saw, stock material, drill press, tap, etc.
