I am outing myself here! This forum is incredible, I've already learned quite a bit from you folks!
My name is Christine, I live on Long Island, mother of two, married to my best bud, and when not working or creating I am out rescuing creatures with four legs, mainly Shetland Sheepdogs, but we don't discriminate.
I have a 6 year old Canon Rebel and a Canon Powershot SX 50 hs. The powershot just replaced a Nikon P500. I use the point & shoot for my macro shots and because I must have a camera with me wherever I go! Typically my Rebel has the big Tamaron lens on it, rarely if ever took it off but I just purchased a macro lens and a proper backpack for my summer field trips. Now I am just waiting for signs of spring to get out there and try it. I am considering an upgrade to my Rebel *sniff-sniff*, just not sure to what yet.

Welcome to the UHH forum and howdy from Houston!
If you like the Rebel, consider moving up to the newer T3 or T3i so you don't have to buy new lenses!
