She is spoken for - about 2 million times.

There is an alternative - the UHH Post Processing section:

Click here to come in and look around
Click here for the Tutorials and Tips index page
Click here for the Free software index
Click here to subscribe to the Post-Processing Digital Images section, click on "All Sections" and scroll to the second-to-last item:
Post-Processing Digital Images and click to subscribe in the appropriate box.

She's good, no doubt. I also like Jan Kabili, Terry White, Chris Orwig and a few others.

Thanks, Searcher. Under the circumstances, I don't think it would be considered unfaithful to look around a bit. :-)

Just keep your feet on the ground and your head out of the clouds - you will get through this.

In love with her? Probably.  (joking)
Appreciate her tutorial? No, you are not the only one appreciating her no-non-sense approach.

As mentioned by another UHH user there are other Adobe instructors that are really good. They all sell adobe product of course but they do not promote anything else so you can trust their instructions but not their 'adobe infomercials'.

Searcher, I still think you should write a book on practical post processing. :)

There is a problem with that. When I compare what many other Hoggers are capable of, my own efforts are somewhat dismal.

For example, in Photoshops both new and old, the most accurate selection tool is the pen. I can write the instructions for using it perfectly, but using it my self is a different story. Getting round corners and curves I find virtually impossible to achieve accurately, yet I have taught a small class to use the pen remarkably well.

I am currently writing a workflow solution for new Lightroom users - we shall see how that goes down.

It will be interesting to read and I agree with the pen tool as selection. I also find incredible that it is just plain ignored.

YOU SHOULD write instructions on how to use it. I have tried and came out with nothing useful to post on that one. Only a video with audio can do it.

Edit:
Oh! hey! Don't worry about how it comes down. If one person gains knowledge it is worth it.

Tip that may help you:
Curves and what not are controlled with the nodes. What is not clear is that you can break the symmetry (opposed side) of these nodes AFTER the initial selection. This is similar to what Corel Draw is/was offering. Add to that the addition and subtraction of control points in the pen path and... Well, you know, you get the best free-form selection tool.

I think that's great. I'm still cleaning up the mess I made with my imports. Sifting through 10,000+ images and putting them in proper files with keywords is driving me crazy. It's very time consuming.

Searcher, Thank you for all of your efforts, greatly appreciated. Please keep us up-to-date on the Lightroom workflow, as I keep going back to CS5 and not LR5. Gary

No. It's good there's no charge for watching her tutorials, or I'd be broke.
