And Past Pro, I'll be thinking of you during the next hurricane season down there!
And richosob, I hate to break the news to you, but in Michigan, there is NO safe zone!!

Maybe you should take trip to God's Waiting Room, like so many do to escape the cold and the bad stuff from the sky.

Well.......Here I sit day three of this crap! The snow is up to the doors on the car, the drive is drifted shut, and my plow truck is over at the ranch! There is one good thing though, it's not all that cold out yet! Just below freezing! Nikki had ice cycles on her, but she didn't even notice it!

A favor.....PLEASE keep it up there! Our life here in Chicago sux enough as is!

I like that Past Pro! "God's waiting room" Actually, I have a vacation coming up at the end of the month! My wife is on the Amazon River right now as medical officer on the Seabourn Quest cruise ship. I'm going to be meeting up with her at Bavaro Beach, in the Dominican Republic for 16 days! Just a nice break from the winter!

I remember trick-or-treating in the snow in upstate NY, more then once... It comes and it goes... the difference is someone attaching a political & monetary agenda to weather.

Now if they sent me money every time the weather seemed unusual, I wouldn't care, but its ultimately the other way 'round... Always someone figuring out a new way to pick your pocket.

Yeah Bill, I do too really! I know, I complain about it sometimes, but for the most part, It's beautiful, and where i live, It's a little piece of heaven! I call it "Eagle Ridge" it's on the shore of Lake Superior high on a cliff, with a steady parade of eagles cruising by! Here is a picture of it. I snapped this right after a heavy rain one day!

Beautiful picture.
I've only been to Northern MI once, Marquette I think it was. I wouldn't mind living in N. MI but MN is nice too. I live close to where the hardwood and softwood forests come together by the tall grass prairie. Great for birds and other wildlife. :D
