Doing some playing around when I had a little downtime. Trying to enhance PP skills. Storm was moving in with an ominous look...

I believe he does do weddings. But aside from that, some of head stones, do say Husband and Wife.

You might want to post this over at: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/s-116-1.html

And see what some of those folks can do with it to give you some more ideas.

That is funny but we do tend to get off topic in this group but is always wedding related somehow. so I will respond. My take is composition rather than PP. I would be compelled to get down in one of those low areas before the hill and shoot up with the headstones in the foreground and ominous sky in the background. Not PP help, but perhaps they were helpful over in the other section.

Yes, and we also tend to post where we feel comfortable. It's all good.
I know posting in the Photo Gallery is like throwing dust in the wind some times.

It might be me, but the group that hangs out here seems to be more professional or eh..... open minded shall I say.

You are right, thus you are more comfortable, no darts intended. I also saw your gallery and noticed you did weddings.

Hey, I'm not worried about posts that are only vaguely related to wedding photography here. I figure test shots for PP, to get input from other wedding photographers, or maybe even scouting out an area are all fair game.

It is funny to think that taking photos with headstones to use as a background for a wedding was the plan.... I've seen weirder.

Actually Ted, no one has addressed your original question. My humble opinion for PP on this image ... I would use Lightroom graduated filters. One on top for the sky and play with the contrast, clarity, highlights, and exposure to get the sky nice and forbidding. Then another one from the bottom to actually brighten up the landscape and maybe bring out the green. This would contrast with the sky and give an impression of the change about to happen. I then would be tempted to use the exposure brush individually on the headstones to make them pop a little.

Great response. I got so wrapped up in the posts about "wedding photography?" I forgot to actually respond with my input.

I'm not on a calibrated monitor at the moment, so I will defer to your awesome suggestions. To me, everything has a greenish cast these days. My new monitor is supposed to be delivered by Friday. (just in time for me to head back to Florida to deal with sick relatives)

I re-read his post, I didn't see any request. I read a statement how he was play around. In my opinion I think Just upping the exposure a few notices. You might want to do some in the clarity, it appears you have cropped causing it to appear very blurred.

Thanks Bill, especially for mentioning the blur. Still trying to figure out what happened here. I even went back to the original raw file thinking I messed something up while decreasing the file size. Much to my dismay it is blurry too. :? I guess I should have been wearing my glasses when I played with the image. Better check the camera settings as well.

Just a note, if this was taken in RAW, you have to adjust the Sharpens in RAW. RAW will not adjust like in a JPEG and should be part of your work flow. You could have been in perfect focus, but you will most likely have to do some adjustment.
