I have the d750 and have yet to shoot raw. My Mac can't go higher than lion

Thinking new 27 in with 1t of flashs storage

Not sure of the easy program to use after Apple photo for helping photos

Lightroom or elements latest version. Can't do Photoshop too advanced for
Missing out not shooting raw correct?
By the way best book for better use of d750? Recommendations?

Any thoughts. Thanks

"from snapshots to great shots Nikon d750" by rob sylvan is a good book on the d750. as for raw, are you currently happy with your photos in JPEG? if so, try to set your camera to raw+jpeg and play with the raw images. photoshop elements or lightroom would both be good programs to start with. raw stores a larger file than jpeg, jpeg is created by the camera itself post processing your photo in camera according to the cameras specs instead of your own tastes. if you are using a laptop, I would recommend buying a 2tb external hard drive to store your photos. be sure to back everything up so you do not lose anything due to a drive crash.

I switched to a 27" iMac with fusion drive orders it with 8gigs and upgraded in a few months to 16. It can go up to 32. I have 3t. Love it. Currently have adobe cc( lighroom and photoshop). You might take a look at elements or Affinity ( a newer program for macs that came out after the fiasco w Photo. You can do a trial I believe. ) learn to shoot raw and pp. it was new for me and I'm so glad I did.

Try Photos that will be free on your new computer first before spending money on something else. I was an Aperture 3 user before and Photos doesn't measure up to that, but I understand that Photos is an improvement on iPhoto, so give it a try.

If you won't need layers and masking use Lightroom. I like their catalog much better than elements.
