I have the D7100 camera and Tamron 16=300 Maybe someday I can add to this.

Thanks for the compliment. I sometimes get very discouraged when I see some of the excellent work posted here. I keep telling myself that I just need to get better than myself.

I have the D90 and a couple of years ago I also bought the D7100...it was voted the best crop sensor camera available in several reviews... :-D

I know the camera has great reviews. I need a lens that is sharper. (Someday)

My every day lens is a Nikkor 18-140mm...under $400 (Aust) and an excellent sharp lens. A lot of my close-ups are done with this lens.
My favourite for macro/close-ups is my Sigma 150mm Macro.
Considerably more expensive though at $1200 (Aust)..luckily I won mine in a photography competition run by the Sigma Corporation in Japan... :D
