hi all, With the two 600 ex rt i have canon ships with an filter holder and two gels for tungsten and it adjusts for correct white balance. if i buy third party gels and cut them to fit in the adapter, will the flash try to adjust to get correct wb or do i have to attach the gels to the face of the flash using rubber bands (ROUGE FILTER KIT) to get the color of the gel you want for special effects ? thanks for any info on this bill

I would say that you would need to set a white balance without the effect filters in situ, or the WB setting would cancel-out the colour of the effect filter.

It does not matter what brand of gels you use, the sensor in the flash will read it's value and adjust, it you attach it any other way, it is you that has to do the adjustment, like with any other flash!
