From Shakespeare, "Alas poor Adobe we knew him well" Even Ansel Adams no longer use Photoshop. First new Mac program to invade windows was Affinity, now Aurora... No hope... sell your Adobe Stock!!
Aurora "Available 09/28. Pre-order today "

“It's truly the best HDR software for both Mac and PCs and is gonna blow people's minds.”

Aurora is a total bunch of crap. I have them both, Aurora and Luminar, and it is hard to beat Photomatix and Nik older programs (Color Effex Pro and Vivaza). Google bought Nik software, and were offering Nik downloads to everyone for free.

Aurora bragged about now being able to batch edit HDR images...a total flop as of now. It cannot batch edit. Sorry I spent the money on both programs.

Aurora is certainly not a 'total bunch of crap'. I find it intuitive and effective compared to Photomatix, especially the 2018 version which gives you even more control over your final image.

Thanks for all the replies about Aurora. My question, maybe not clear, is about Luminar.
Thanks,
Ron

Hey Brent, did you watch the tutorials, did you give them a call? Just like old or new programs there learning curves. Don't give up on these wonderful Macphun programs.

Good for you. It is pure garbage when using it for real estate, and it does a poor job of batch editing up to 50 HDR brackets. When I complained to Aurora, they admitted they have a ways to go.

My understanding is that batch edit for the PC version will not be available until later this fall; as will other options currently on the Mac version.

Because it does not currently meet your specific requirements doesn't make it garbage by any stretch. Greatly expanded batch processing should be available by the end of this year. Their current batch processing does work, but has limited capability so perhaps your needs exceed it's abilities, eh? Still works great for most of the rest of us however.

When it cannot read a simple 4 shot bracket of -2,-1,0,+1, puts two images in one stack and 2 images in another, I call it pure garbage. At least Photomatix can read the file number and tell the 4 shots go together in order and by EV values. On one image bracket it works, but I have far more control with Nik HDR for free. Very disappointed with all the hype. I take over 250 images per day, so I need something reliable that works.

I don't do 'batch' processing with it per se so cannot comment from personal experience in that regard, but I do routinely process 3-5-7 shot stacks and have never had it skip a beat....just saying....
