I am shopping for a new iphone. Refurbished is fine also. I have AT&T . Does anyone on here have any suggestions for where to get a good deal? I now have an iPhone 5, and it is beginning to give up. I'm on a limited income. Thank in advance. Donna

The best deals are going to be on 'older' models such as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus. The latest models, iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X are still pretty pricey. Best Buy has some deals on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus right now. You may get a pretty good price from AT&T online on those models as well. As you have probably discovered, if you go into the AT&T Store, they will likely only display the latest models and try to sell you one of those.

You probably get the most bang for your buck right now on the IPhone 7 or 7 plus. Make sure you test them out to see what fits your hand better. The I phone Plus models are huge and heavy compared to your 5

If you like the size of the 5 then take a good look at the IPhone SE. it is the same size as the 5 but has updated technology.

I would recommend that you visit an AT&T (Corporate) store. In my case, Verizon carried a variety of older models at much reduced prices....as well as the newest models. I chose the iPhone 7 plus and am happy with it. If you are on a limited budget, you may want to consider paying for your phone over time. In the case of Verizon, there was no interest charge....just extended monthly payments that they add to my bill. At the end of three years (in my case), I will own it and the monthly charges will disappear from bill.

I said 'corporate store' because the local Verizon stores are franchise locations....and can't begin to offer packages that the corporate locations can.

Good luck.

I’ve had very good luck at gazelle.com. Have bought about 4 iPhones from them and all have been excellent. They only deal in used phones.

I have the iPhone 5 only because it was a phone that my son no longer used and he gave it to me a few years ago. I would prefer a larger screen. My hand is large so fitting them to it is no problem.
Thanks for this information.

Wouldn't I be taking a chance of getting a stolen phone if I buy from eBay or Craigslist? That is my concern with that option.

How do I find a corporate store? I am over a hundred miles from a large city.

Try Amazon, I just got a "new" refurb phone, less the 1/4 of new and only last yrs top line model, looks new. Decided to give up my beloved windows phone, best phone OS but support is ending next yr and apps are limited and those I have are becoming unreliable with limited updates.
