This is my first try at one of these. The fly was a little under a 1/4 inch. Didn't use a tripod.

A long-legged fly. Very shallow DoF, due indirect lighting. Nice intro photo.

Pretty good, it took me a longtime to get a good shot of a Longlegged fly..
