Simple and interesting. No excuse for not doing photography, the world is filled with subjects as you have here shown us. Good capture.
When photographing Cattails near my home I went home and got scissors and modified the subject a bit. Minor, but a trim removing the branch crossing the Cattail on the left side would have been a good change.

Good suggestion, but that would be a no no. First it I wasn’t i drove to get to this area. Two I can’t walk on water. 😀

Erich I totally agree about the lighting. As I was walking , I looked to my left and the light is what caught my eye.
