T did a photo shoot yesterday afternoon with the lovely Payton Hatcher in my small speedlight studio. The main light was a Godox V850 in a 70cm SMDV softbox and three reflectors. The background light was two Godox V850 speedlights used separately and together. one in a Rouge flash bender and one in a Rouge grid with gels. Camera settings were ISO-100, shutter speed 1/200 and aperture f/9.
Professionally done. Thanks for the lighting diagram!

Very inspiring series, Wayne. Thanks for sharing your lighting arrangement, too.
The subject and the background are lite separately, there are two exposures happing at the same time. I’m using a 48” curved reflector on the bottom and a single Godox V850 speedlight in a 70cm softbox on the top. I added a 20” x 30” ($2.95 ea. At Walmart) white foam core reflector on each side to light the subject. That’s it for the main light. I used a collapsible gray background, background light #2 is another Godox V850 speedlight in a Rouge flash bender. If I over-expose the background with reference to the main light the background will present as white. If I expose the background the same as the main light the background will present as gray. If I turn off the background light #2 the background will present as black. Background light #1 is another Godox V850 speedlight in a Rouge grid, that light will put a white or colored accent light on the background behind the subject. The subject and the background are two different lighting setups. It sounds complicated but it’s really not. With this setup I can have a white background with a colored accent light, a gray background with a white or colored accent light or a black background with a white or colored accent light just by making a few changes on the radio controller on my camera.
Stellar series Wayne, and my compliments to the MUA on this session.
I'm absolutely certain Payton Hatcher was elated with your craft and artistry.
Also many thanks for your lighting diagrams... with explanation.
