The is REALLY a picture of our hall bathroom...ie...picture not taken off the internet. My wife was the instigator for such signage! Is she trying to tell me something?

Cute. But there should also be a reminder to put the seat down!

Hmmm! Is there really any difference between ...?
When done, hubby puts seat down, and wifey puts seat up.
vs.
Before starting, hubby puts seat up and wifey puts seat down.
vs.
Or just leaving the seat as it is when hubby & wifey are done.
Both hubby & wifey are doing the same number of seat movements...assuming they have equal usage of the potty.
Oh, I forgot...men have different configurations for #1 and #2.

LOL. At our house, we just keep the lid closed too. So I guess in our house that makes us equal!
In our house the rule is "Put The Seat Down Before You Flush". Step dad was a Medical Doctor (DO) and it is a "Health Thing" Less germs put into the air. (Less smell too.)

It is a true conundrum.
Your picture of the messy bathroom sink is worth a thousand words!
One should pick his battles, and in this case, the toilet seat is secondary.

As you seem to be a little doubtful, take a look at this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TJIOQx1GHAMy mum used to quote what she said was an old proverb to my father:
"Man who leaves toilet seat open lets money go down the drain"
If you are still in any doubt, put the seat down, stand in front of the toilet with bare legs and flush.
Feel that damp germ ridden jet of air on your knees?
