The D5600 is one of the most versatile cameras out there today. If I had stayed with DX, that would have been my next camera. (Instead, got the D750). The lenses I would have gotten were: 10-20 AF-P, 18-55 AF-P. and 70-300 AF-P. All light-weight, fast focusing, and sharp. Let us know how it goes and share some of your images with us.

Well I finally did and hopefully, I didn't make a bad deal. It is a new D5600 with 3 lens and lots of extras. I got it around 500.00 I'm sure some will say I paid too much, while others say I got a good deal. I'll find out soon when I receive it and start taking pics with it. Any suggestions or tips pertaining to the D5600 feel free to post on here for me. I'm just beginning to really get into photography. I've had many cheap camera's but nothing a the quality of this.
Sounds like an incredible deal, especially with 3 lenses. Make sure it has a USA warranty. Happy shooting.

Yes, enjoy the new gear and shoot, shoot, shoot. Work on expanding your knowledge base, Post Processing (if you desire) and have fun with the gear. It is a hobby (and side profession for a few years) that I have enjoyed all of my adult life, and it makes you think (good for the brain). Don't worry about what folks will say about your kit, it sopunds like it is a good start, and there is nothing shabby about a D5600 (and that goes for anyone starting the hobby, or coming back to it), you can add to that as you feel the need, or exceed the limitations of the gear you have. Have fun!!!

As a Nikon D3300 Owner, I have researched the D5600 and put it on my list as a possible DSLR Upgrade, I like the many added features that it offers that I presently am lacking in my D3300, which by the way the D3300 is a highly regarded "Beginner" DSLR.
I would agree with your choice of the Nikon D5600 DSLR camera.

Thanks to all and I'll check the USA warranty.
Where did you buy it?
Even the biggest rip off artist around is charging more.
If it is a legitimate price for that price I'd bet some folks around here would be interested.

Congratulations on your new gear. Now practice---practice -----practice . Shoot every day that you can and take the camera everywhere you go and good things will begin to happen almost like magic and you will love what you do even more. It is a Process so while you are becoming one with your new rig..... Don't sleep with other cameras...haha...and refrain from high burst rates and focus on getting each shot composed well before actually taking it. Quantity is no substitute for Quality The best days are ahead....enjoy !

I have the D5500 for years and am very pleased with it. No reason to change. Good luck with the D5600.

I would re-phrase that with "Read the manual or third party book thoroughly with camera in hand then read it again and practice , practice , practice." I find that the manual (full reference downloaded from Nikon) works best when I can immediately do what I just read.
You might want to buy a book for the 5600 describing features and buttons. The manual is not adequate. I have a 5300 and bought a book by Jon Sparks. At least I now know where the buttons are and what they are used for. The camera is not very intuitive with multi-function buttons.

Sounds like a good deal. Is it a USA model or is it gray market? The only reason I ask is with 3 lenses this seems to be almost too good of a price whenit includes a new D5600.
It is definitely too good a price when B&H is selling a new D5600 and one kit lens for nearly $600.

Only he can answer, might be a kit that includes a wide angle attachment lens, a ?? lens, 18-55 and or 55-200, 70-300, non-VR would get you out the door pretty low $$..... NEWEGG has some of those bundles in the low 500 range...
