Robbygy,
How sweet of you to apoligize on his behalf...no need to do so. Most of us in the USA know that you can't judge a group/country by one or two people who do make remarks like he did. I love your country and the people that reside there....Again thank you for your apologize...we'll just pretend there was never a comment

Many thanks for your understanding Imch921, it's unfortunate that people have to be that detrimental to others!

To all the members on here in the USA I must apologise for the idiotic and arogant remark from the member JR1.
His attitude and demeaner to members on this site is not the norm we in the UK pride ourselves on. Like in every country you always seem to get someone who thinks they are above everyone else, and it would appear he thinks he is it!!
It would also appear that he has upset quite a few members on here by his futile remarks and by the response he has had from his stupid comments to other members.
I am sure I am speaking for the majority of us members here in the UK, that this sort of remark to our fellow USA members is totally unacceptable and uncalled for.
I hope that 'Admin' of this site demand a full public apology from this member to all USA members , or ban him from this site with immediate effect.
This a great site with great members from all over the world enjoying their passion of photography, but this sort of remark makes me want to think again if it is a site I want to be associated with when this sort of remark
(which is bordering on rascism) is acceptable.
I can only apologise again to all you USA members and members from other country's, that, that sort of remark is not acceptable from us here in the UK.

Sincerely

Robbygb

I don't think JR meant to be arrogant or mean. I saw it as tongue in cheek with a wink and a nod which is my kind of humor. Those that took offense haven't been tickled in awhile. Of course if National Honor and good will is at stake then nothing but a proper beheading will do after a good flogging! Wink, Nod

Just wondering if everything in the USA looks disgusting to you.
I have to admit, I haven't read all the comments yet but I'm sure you got some touchy ones with that post.

The most interesting breakfast I've had recently was French toast with bread pudding instead of bread. In the UK bacon is akin to what we call Canadian Bacon. Our bacon is smoke cured "striped" which is a different cut of meat and even the tiniest morsel will impart a mouthful of flavor.

Very interesting shot, but all of that cholesterol is no good for me. I think perhaps people are reading too much into a well-composed and exposed photo.

Looks very tasty to me, and I have had breakfasts in the UK. I would choose USA grub over it anytime.

Come on now. Wouldn't you like a nice lot of fried kippers right now?

I don't know what kippers are, but I didn't mind the haggis (sp?) I had when I toured Scotland....Can't say I cared much for blood pudding, though. There is a show on TV called "Bizarre Foods" where the host travels to different countries and tries the local cuisine. What may appear to one person to be gross may be what someone else lives on. That person in return might find someone else's food disgusting. We live in a diverse, beautiful world and should learn to appreciate cultural differences instead of being ethnocentric snobs.
