World Heritage site has some working windmills. This one has a family living there and working the mill.
Fine shot. Love the atmosphere. I might have cropped out the lily pads, though.
I love this image. You have composed it nicely leaving enough space so those blades can get some air and including the whole reflection. And my vote is to keep the lily pads. I think they help to balance the image, though maybe tone them down a little as they are lighter than the windmill and tend to draw your eye down to themselves.
Technically very well done.

Very nicely framed and exposed. Of course, the lily pads balance the light green of the grass and the reflection of the windmill.
I think the foreground is terrific...seems to ground the whole photo..to my eye the composition is without flaw...the lower left balances the upper right...this photo seems to have everything you would want..an interesting subject, a nice reflection, lovely sky...I love the tiny windmill in the distance...truly a wonderful shot.

I really like this shot. To me it is technically almost perfect. The whole scene is beautiful and you captured it in such a way that my attention is drawn into the scene and lingers there. Very nice.

Thanks for the kind words. I will see if slightly darkening the lily pads may keep them from being a distraction. If I crop them, I'll sacrifice too much of the windmill reflection...

Thanks CM. I will experiment with darkening the lily pads. Everything was still kind of yellow-green as it is early spring there, so they are a bit bright but they did seem to help it not be so top-right heavy. Windmills are big structures!

Thank you. Balance is what I wanted. Jury is still out on the luminance value in the lily pads. I'll see. I like experimenting, that's how I learn best.

thanks for the kind comments. I was amazed at the number of these structures that have been preserved.
I followed your suggestion re: lilly pads.
I do not think the image is improved.

I like it better with the lily pads intact. But I think you know this version will get zapped when the mods catch it, as edits are not allowed here:)

I have had a photo zapped, but I think this is the forum section where revisions are allowed. "Post-Processing Digital Images"

You are right, the PP section is very flexible about revisions. I sometimes post a photo from this section over there to get that kind of feedback, and put a link to connect them, and that is permissible. I've also linked back to the Gallery where edits are allowed. There's workarounds for the determined...
I like the photo very much. I also like the lily pads because the pads on the right follow a line to the windmill and take my eyes with it. I like the composition and the windmill itself is balanced with the blade going out to the left side of the picture. The reflection fills out the bottom of the picture. Very nice exposure too.
