The "Half Dome" photograph is very dramatic and even more so in the download.
Well taken.

AND..........if you look at the download you can see people in the saddle on top and off to the right you can see 2 people in white shirts.

Really like your juxtaposition of the glacier-carved rocks (and the errata rock) against the distance iconic landmark. Makes for a great photo.
You have a good eye for photography.

Great shots Brent. The first view of Half Dome is really unique.

Thanks very much Vicki. That is from the turn out just before getting to Tanaya Lake, looking back to the valley. Since you live so close to Yosemite, I would assume you know exactly where I am talking about!

Thanks so very much Kingmapix. By your language I would say you really know your geology very well. I am an artist first and a photographer second.........I think that is why composition and design in photography comes so easily to me. Thanks again Kingmapix!

It sure pays to have the art background. I went to art school and I believe it really helps with the composition.

Yes indeed, very beautiful. Is that some kind of halo above the dome in the first photo?

I love this chunk of granite rock.......it's called Half Dome in Yosemite National Park, California. It's reported that a glacier ripped through the valley and took the other half of the dome with it. 36 years ago I proposed to my wife on top of that rock. The final photo is of the Wawona Hotel near the Southern entrance to the park.
Please download these images for best viewing.

Excellent images. The rock formations are interesting. Thank you for showing.
