I am looking to upgrade to an FX camera. I have several FX lenses. So far I am leaning toward the Nikon D750. Any thoughts about this camera? Should I consider a different model? Any feedback would be great.

I have a D750 & love it. The layout is not all that different to my D7100, so there was really no learning curve when I bought it a year ago. It has several strong points IMO. Image quality is superb (with a decent lens, of course). It eats high ISOs for breakfast & auto focuses in extremely poor light. I also love the tilt screen--it's great for low level shots (especially when you're too old to get down low & dirty, lol). I would definitely recommend a D750. Earl.

Ditto! I migrated from the D5200 but I am equally thrilled with the D750. If I had it to do over I would buy the body and lens separate, but great camera!

I have only had mine for a month now but what I noticed immediately was how good it felt in my hand.
Still learning it b ut then I would still be learning any camera I had. So far I am very proud of my choice.
The camera is actually way smarter than I.
I do believe you will love it.

Here's a great learning site. I just got the Nikon D810 yesterday and watched a tutorial by Tony Northrup. It was EXCELLENT, and he does these tutorials on just about every type of camera - and it's free.

the d750 is a great camera. I would caution you that you may need to send it in for recalls, they have had one for the shutter button, and one for the sensor. to eliminate this, you should consider buying a refurbished body from Nikon, B&H photo, or adorama. call them and make sure the problems have been addressed in the refurb process. plus, the refurbs will be less expensive.

If you don't use video, l recommend the DF.
You get the guts of a d4 at half the price

Why?

Now, I don't ask that to be rude. I do ask it to find out if you really have a photographic reason to go fx other than having some fx lenses.

I do have a Nikon D3200 which functions well. However, I have missed a few shots because it would not focus on an object without a lot of intervention. I find that some of the controls are awkward. That could be me though. Beside always wanting to get better equipment, I do want to get the full frame shots. I understand that they will print out with a ratio more like my old film prints.

It depends on what you shoot. I have D750 and some FX lenses, but for Bird Photography, I still use my D7100 with Tamron 150-600 especially when I need the reach. For everything other than birds, I use the D750 and am extremely happy with it. I checked my serial number, and found out my D750 was not recalled.

Certainly, you should upgrade to an FX camera. Now that you have considered it, you will not be satisfied until you do.
I have a 700, 800E, and a Df. I carry the Df almost everywhere I go.

Now is not a good time to switch to a D750 since it is currently involved in a recall.
