Volo? You probably drove right by me on your way up. I can feel that hard, skinny steering wheel in my hands. And the horn ring. I remember those rear view mirrors which always got knocked off and you could screw a new one on.

I love the composition. Very intimate. I would like to see the picture slightly brighter with a greater tonal range.

Thanks for posting.

I agree - a little lighter probably would be better - especially if your screen is "normal". I think mine is a little bright because when I see the images I post on my wife's laptop they seem to me to be a mite on the dark side.

Thanks for your advice and your comments, I appreciate the critique.

My first car was a used 1934 Chevy. Was a high schooler and the War had just ended. Tore the whole engine down and refurbed just about everything. She ran like a top afterwards. Kids can't do that nowadays and don't get to learn much about cars. Sigh.

I wonder what today's kids will be mulling over as the "good ol' days" when they are our age? It's a difficult thing to imagine.

Imagine it. Our parents probably said the same about us. And our grandparents said the same about our parents.

But, things are escalating faster all the time with the advances in technology. How long from the first telephones to the dial phone? Then how long from the dial phone to the cell phone? ...and then to the latest iPhone? Just using the phone as an example of what is happening in everything. My youngest daughter just ordered a car that can virtually drive itself. Awesome!

For me, it is not that the rate of technology is increasing, but that the pace of our lives is increasing. The faster I run, the further behind I get.

I think there is a relationship to some extent. From my retirement observation point, I think the pace of lives is increasing in large part because of the cell phone. Nobody is ever out of touch anymore, unless they have the inclination and will power to turn the phone off. Fore-mentioned daughter is in communication with someone practically every moment, with every day scheduled out at least six months in advance. She is thriving on a life-style that would have me in a nervous and physical breakdown in two weeks.

Thanks, Don. Appreciate your comment.

All red or did it have a white top? 2 or 4 door?

You know Jim it was so long ago I don't really remember. I think it was red & white and 4 door.

I know what you mean. Regardless, it was a beautiful machine in any colour and configuration.
