The street photography forum on UHH is a joke. And no one is laughing..... it's voyeurish at best and "anything goes" is the norm

Nothing posted to the Street Photography Section is or has ever been deleted based on disagreement. Bullying, name calling, and gratuitous insults absolutely will be deleted.

NOT TRUE, I questioned you as to why this photo of yours was street photography, but you did not answer. I was deleted because I kept asking the same question and you never answered it. Can you answer it now ?

Architectural is photographing spaces - indoors and out. Street is photographing moments - usualy but not always including living subjects. Lots of street photography is about patterns, light/shadow/color contrast, etc - and can be abstract.

I really like Street Photography. Because of receiving numerous questions on defining street photography, I made a video 2 years ago. It's just my opinion:

They should stop beating their dead horse just because it is obvious that most people DO care!

The Street Photography section, despite all the claims made back when it was started, has been very popular and highly successful. And that is true for the reasons I articulated at the time the section was started.

The naysayers were clearly very mistaken!

The vast majority here know that your version of street photography is a joke at the very least. Even the most deluded will find at least a few followers.

Where you are there is very little opportunity for "real" street photgraphy so, you have taken the stance that pretty much anything can be considered street photography. You have personally taken it upon yourself to redefine what street photography is. All of us here that know you, know that your skills are acedemic at best (and even some of that is way off) and your skills at actually using a camera to capture quality images is almost noneistant.....pathetic!!!!

I have saved this post because you wou likely delete it.

Can someone provide a quick, clean difference between these two media? No dissertations or lectures, please. "Just the facts, Ma'am," as Joe Friday used to say.

I don't think there is one...., good luck!
But many will knock themselves out anyway!!! LoL

More people here make fun of it than support it.

It doesn't appear that Apaflo can actually produce a "street" image, just portraits and snapshots. That's why he has to twist the definition of Street Photography.

He's not likely to delete your post. It's not in his section, if it's even his anymore. Seems that Voss is the major contributor.

The popular Street Photography section has had 54 new threads started by 13 different members added during the month of July by those who support it. That averages about two per day.

Your alternate section started by those who make fun of, rather than support it, has had all of 4 (count 'em, 4) new threads started by 3 members in July. In this whole month there have been 24 articles posted and 615 views... less than the other section in the last three days!

Hmmmmm...

You can’t take any credit for that.

Your personal definition of “Street Photography” has nothing to do with it.

You only post words and arguments, no images of your own.
