The same with my laptop. I wonder if that was because it was Prime Day, and they put on extra staff.

What laptop did you get Jerry?
There were some great buys

That's an impressive notebook!

It replaces my desk top.
It is big, you don't carry it around under your arm.
Much easier to move from one location to another,
than a desktop computer.
1 1/2" thick, But the dual 280watt power supplies
are harder to move than the notebook

I stayed with a PC because Industries adapted the PC for their programing.
Schools and design industries used Apple.
I got all kinds of free programming from the company I worked for.
When my last desk top was done, I decided I wanted something I could
actually move from my desk to a shop I visit. So I purchased a SAGAR
notebook. Not light and uses 2 - 280 watt power supplies, but gets good
battery life for what it is. Great specs and better than my desk top.

Wish my last week problems were that simple.
Went to use the wheel barrow, tire was flat so turned on the air compressor in the garage.
heard loud noise, Yup the pressure regulator switch blew up.
Amazon was good to me gave me next day service of new part and at a good price.
Fixed the air compressor and decided to backwash the swimming pool filter. pump was off, turned valve to back wash. That's right when I turned the pump on, the entire valve assembly blew up
just totally exploded.
While pool repair was in progress, Cost me $275.00, My wife came an informed me the washing machine stopped working. It was 15 years old and she informed me after she contacted repair man, it was going to cost to much to fix. She wanted a new one. That was pretty much my week, Oh one other thing the washer she wanted cost me $889.00 before tax.
Would love to trade problems with you.
On the bright side my computer and TV are working fine.
Some time retirement sucks, had far less problems when I was working
Good luck Jerry

there are a lot of stupid people in the world.
Look at the people we put in office for both parties.
Shouldn't politicians be required to register for life.

Like you, building my own for many years. I decided to try buying one.
Looked at a desktop. Then decided a large notebook that I could move around
was more what I was looking for.
Sagar, 10 core Intel I9 10900K, 32g memory 1 tb SSD 17" 4K display
Nvidia 2080, 4 slots for memory, 4 SSD slots. All the latest ports and 802 11ax
WiFi6 . Can run 3 external Displays.
The specs are unbelievable for a notebook.
Real down fall is the power, takes 2 brick size 280watt power supplies to run it
And I can hear the fans when running under load.
It is a monster, But I admit I will probably miss working on it

Our only fast food place was Carrol's and that was 55 miles from our house.
McDonalds bought them out when I was in the military. Carrol's said they didn't
have enough business to stay open. That was in upstate NY, I now live in Arizona
last trip up that way thought I'd stop, just for old time sake. Couldn't even get
in they were so busy.

Get used to it, Trump is reallocating post office money and making further cuts.
So people can't use mail in v****g.
Something people here in Arizona use when it is 100 in the shade and a 3 hour waiting
line outside. We must register at the DMV or a registration office to have our v****g
rights checked. Unless you are a Republican then they mail in forms for us to register
to v**e. The other parties can't do that.
But the Republicans are against mail in v****g, Bull
