One of the only ten Goodyear F2G “Super Corsairs” built.
Nice! Never have seen one myself.
Nice series. What're the consensus about matching the water color?

And plenty of foul-smelling terribly persistent oil as well if you are careless enough to handle one as I discovered after catching and releasing one that flew into the control tower through an open hatch. For days afterward every time I lifted a fork to my mouth I was reminded of its oily stench, similar to the odor from a garter snake but worse and harder to remove. EeeeU, indeed!
Photos 1, 2 & 3 appear to be cormorants.
Not around Portsmouth, NH but around Fairbanks, Alaska I used to see them carrying off bright orange mushrooms.
I love to see them in a suitable setting. If you ever get a chance visit Pymatuning State Park, Pennsylvania -"where the ducks walk on the fishes backs", go as the sight is amazing. The Koi in your photos are mating and so thrash around spreading their eggs and melt. When I was a boy we had two beautifully clear water reservoirs filled with bass, pike, perch, and sunfish. Someone decided to illegally introduce carp into both of them and that all ended. The carp, (Koi are a type of carp), eat the eggs of other fish and their forging muddies the waters chocking off what was once clear water, suffocating the eggs not eaten. Now both are now dismal mud holes frequented by occasional carp fishermen and bow hunters. Sad.
Cats do catch mice and rats but the harsh reality is they are why we have so few songbirds in areas where domestic cats roam free. Hard not to acknowledge the cold hard facts that entire species have gone extinct after domestic cats were introduced onto islands around the world. Helluva price to pay so a house cat can enjoy the hunt. Don't misunderstand as I do like the kitties but push come to shove I would much rather have the birds eating the bugs rather than the cats eating the birds, bats, and dragonflies. Just sayen'
Nice depiction of the "Old Slow But Deadly" SBD Dauntlas dive bomber.
It still is but for how much longer? After 27 years in the service defending her out of my 76 years, I've lived to see police shoot and k**l a sleeping man and wound his girlfriend in NJ while attempting to serve a "red f**g" firearm confiscation no-knock warrant. We won the cold war but now so many misguided democrats and nearly every university academic are supporting c*******ts pretending to be something called "democratic socialists" for president. Personal liberties we used to take for granted like fishing in the ocean, looking at the stars or even flying model airplanes now require expensive licenses in NY or are being legislated away as "too dangerous" or a "threat to natural security" by the FAA. Your camera "drone" is now illegal in national parks and soon the FAA will make flying model airplanes only a fond memory. What's next; possession of a stand-alone camera deemed illegal in public areas? Oops, too late; already is in some places. All that is necessary for this to continue is for rational people to sit back after the dupes cry "there ought to be a law" and do nothing. PC is, after all, a very old Marxist plot to destroy Capitalism.
In the immortal words of Winston Churchill: “The t***h is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.”
