Hi everyone, I just downloaded the CD that came with my Canon T3i so I could download photos from the camera to my Lap Top. I was wondering if someone could tell me how to re-size the photos so they are easier to email? I'm not much of a computer guru so the easiest way is what I'm searching for. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

Don, my choice, and a free source is Faststone image resizer

It is both free and easy to use and handles large numbers of photos at once.

A beautiful brief glimps of my gorgeous state. I have been 40 years in West Texas and South Texas, now retired in the Piney Woods of East Texas and every where you point your lens is a great photo op. Y'all need to get here ASAP.

Some of us just like to visit our childhood once-in-a-while. This was their day. Fun to look at, thanks for sharing.

If you can put this puzzle together. You can say goodbye to Alzheimer's!

This is really clever and a bit challenging. As we older people are concerned with Alzheimer's disease, this puzzle may help dispel some fear.

It's easy to put together if you are not affected by Alzheimer's disease, but impossible to do for someone with the disease.

Give it a try. If this puzzle is particularly difficult for you, then your physician can offer you additional testing to check you for Alzheimer's.

Just remember, if you can put this puzzle together you do not have to fear Alzheimer's!

A really neat puzzle!!

Dove showed up last evening to old nest outside my veranda window and started calling. I answered in my best Asian Collared Dove accented coo, and she settled down. She is still there. I'd thought a bit late to nest, she should be heading for Africa for the winter.

Here she is. She sure has pretty eyes. Both shots handheld with Nikon P510, second shot is max zoomed, 42X optical and 2X digital on top. Amazed me how clear it is for handheld (at my age.)

Wonderful shots, I am fortunate to have a permanent mated pair residing close to me. They are just gorgeous birds. I had never seen any until I started feeding last year and when they first appeared I had no idea what they were I hope you don't mind my adding a photo of mine to the thread. I had no idea they were spread world wide, I am in east Texas, a bit of a hike from where your photo was taken. Your's is the first post I have seen of these lovely birds. Thank you for posting them.

I agree with your belief that Mr. Obama is doing to the best of his ability. The problem is that he his very sadly lacking in ability. Probably due to the fact that unlike you, I believe he is of low intelligence. Crafty and devious and lacking in principal yes, but not intelligent and not wonderful. And yes, he was elected. He was elected because he lied better than the other guy. Please do not tell me I am being disrespectful. Respect should be earned and deserved. Mr. Obama has not even approached earning my respect. Or do you really expect me to show fealty to him even though he lied his way to the presidency?

Right on the spot, problem being : liberal Obama worshipers think respect is an entitlement, not anything that must be earned through their works. We who are not in lock-step with their ideas are evil and must be set aside as an impediment to their social agenda.

JB, The defense may have "Waived the Stand your ground defense", but the juror that was interviewed by Anderson Cooper , told him "the Stand Your Ground law was a key element in the acquittal". ....... Coot

The juror is confusing "stand your ground" with "self defense"
and you are as well. "stand your ground" was not an element in this trial at any time. The defense was always self defense from start to finish. When Travon Martin started pounding George's head on the sidewalk, at that time self defense became the primary issue for George Zimmerman. He felt his life was in real danger and the law was on his side. Those still looking for their "pound of flesh" from George Zimmerman refuse to recognize his right to protect his life. They expect him to just be passive and continue to have his head pounded till it became a smashed pumpkin??? Where is their logic? Were you in George's position on that sidewalk, would you passively wait to die or would you protect your life? Answer that question and you come to the same conclusion as the juror's did, self defense is your only choice.
