What a lovely place to be. BTW, what is a "market town?" Don't all towns have markets?

No! Markets were created by an Act of Parliament or by the King (or queen) They are not necessarily
a feature of all towns.

Stokesley is a small market town that every two years some of the residents open their gardens to raise money for a Charity. This year was for the local Teesside Hospice. The programme cost was £5 ($6), the day was sunny and windy. Also the allotments where people grow vegetables, fruit and flowers were open too.

Hope you enjoy a sample of what we saw.

"Lexophile" is a word used to describe those that have a love for words, such as "you can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish", or "to write with a broken pencil is pointless." A competition to see who can come up with the best lexophiles is held every year in an undisclosed location.

This year's winning submission is posted at the very end.

.. When fish are in schools, they sometimes take debate.

.. A thief who stole a calendar got twelve months.

.. When the smog lifts in Los Angeles U.C.L.A.

.. The batteries were given out free of charge.

.. A dentist and a manicurist married. They fought tooth and nail.

.. A will is a dead giveaway.

ALWAYS LAUGH WHEN YOU CAN; IT'S CHEAP MEDICINE!

You don't have to tell me if you have seen it before, Thanks, it's obvious some of you will have seen it before. It's for those who haven't and those who like to be reminded of this sort of thing and don't mind seeing it again...............!

Just coming to the end of a free trial with PSE15. As the light was good yesterday evening I revisited a spot I particularly like with a view to getting a panoramic view of The Chiltern Hills escarpment. I thought PSE15 handled an 8 shot stitch quite well, the only(?) mistake being the slight banding across the field to the left, 100% me, due to not putting the camera on manual and fixing exposure across the range.

This scene features the M40 cutting seen far and wide on the opening credits to 'The Vicar of Dibley' and far left is the Stokenchurch comms. tower (m40 jcn5) which will have been seen by many a U.K. hog. On the right is part of the small village of Lewknor. I removed a few masts and things but some still remain.

Whether I'll get PSE15 is doubtful - It's taken me 5 years to get around v10 and I'm not sure I've got all that of pat yet.

I agree. I used to drive past Stokenchurch on my way to Peugeot(Then at Acton). Loved the panorama.

Ey-Up Ron, Yes, we have bred another one and there will be more where he came from. What gets me down is the fact that this cowardly individual was known to the authorities here in England and also known to the French authorities. They know he recently returned from Libya and he has also visited Syria. Surely he has been going to places to learn and train to be a pro'. People don't normally go to war torn countries as if it's Disneyland do they????? I think that we need to pass new laws to hold people like this individual for as long as it takes and not bow down to "do-gooders", who protest for these "picked on individuals" of being held without charge. Maybe when the Brexit agreement has been in place we shall start and make our own laws again and be able to hold these terror suspects for as long as the investigation about them runs. That's how I see it Ron,
It's no good the authorities telling us this cowardly loser was known to the authorities when he's just killed twenty two innocent people including children, teenagers and severely injuring sixty four more.
I feel pretty certain that normal peace loving muslims do get on the authorities terror list and the one's that do should be taken out of circulation including the individuals who are radicalising these vulnerable young people.
