yes the iPhone does allow great photos. A quick snapshot to share but it will never (hopefully) replace the dslr or mirrorless cameras.
I use mine on holiday to share photos to family right away after getting the photo with my dslr. That way I do not to bore them with the countless prints of old.

Another SR-71 story.

A few years ago I got to here this story from the pilot at the Seattle Sea fair at Boeing field. Just made the day.

They all deserve merit but the first one is excellent and very classic.

The original Raws are 60mp.
The crop has all default settings including Canon #3 sharpening. So basically, no sharpening at all!
The exif is in tact but LR seems to strip some of it anyway.
Hope these couple shots help.
This weekend I'll shoot some Cyclo-Cross racing to see how the 5Ds does with fast action shots. ;-)

Wow
Almost would make me convert to Canon but I am too old and don't want to start over. Very nice images.

Beautiful images. I was in the Navy from 70-76 and the squadron I was in flew F4b then J's and then N's. Heard some wild stories from the pilots coming back from bombing runs. They were great aircraft. Take a licking and keep on ticking.

I have the 250 and use it as a feeder bag on road trips. I can't carry that heavy of a load on my back anymore.

Back in the late 66. I was on annual staff and the paper as one of the photographers of my HS. When with the ROTC to Edwards AFB for a tour. Part of the tour was to get to see the X-15 in the hanger. We were cautioned not to go over the yellow line. Ok! Well I didn't have any thing wider then a 50mm with me so I was backing up to get more in the photo. Not paying too much attention and went right over that darn yellow line. Got yelled at by the guide and very embarrassed. Made sure I stayed inside that line the rest of the time.

Mine was a Kodak DCS 660. It was a huge monster. Brother made me a good deal. Went from there to a Nikon D1x to a D700 and another D1x.
I like big camera's :)

It wasn't hard but a little involved. I need to write up what I did and go back and take some photos. You use two 18650 2500 mAh 3.7 Li-ion batteries. I will try and write it up in the next couple of days if any here has a D1x they want to bring back on line.
