Is #2 Pep Ventosa style with some added zoom, or is the spread of the branches due to curve in the trunk? Either way, I love it, and particularly the graininess of the clouds.
The last is just beautiful all the way around.
Thanks for the thumbs, Frank.

That's really nice. It looks peaceful and serene. This is a case where I believe the softly captured water works well against the sharp details in the moss and rock.
Thanks for the thoughts, SWFeral. It was a peaceful place, with almost no human noise to speak of, other than my family. Faeryland made real.
I’m cautious about silky waterfalls, too. They generally look a bit overdone to me. But after trying several shutter speeds I found that this was the only one that captured the feel of seeing the falls.

Nice work Jared. Did you use a N/D filter and if so what strength?
Don
I wished I’d brought it, Don. The forest was rather dim, but even so I had to go to f/22 and brace myself as best I could, relying on the camera’s IBIS. But then, I needed the depth of field anyway and I didn’t have a tripod, so I made do with what I had.
Ifyou click through to the Flickr page you can see the EXIF settings.
Fantastic capture! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Wonderful image of what looks like a magical place.
Thanks, Settlit. My kids kept exclaiming that it looked like faeryland.
What I did on my summer (okay, late spring) vacation. We only got to visit the Adirondacks for an evening and a morning, sandwiched between visits to Niagara and the Finger Lakes and Boston. The morning was well-spent, though, walking in a little nature preserve near our rental called the Harris Land Preserve. The first part of the trail wanders along and across a stream with glorious mossy waterfalls. It was enchanting.

The statue for David Francis is beautiful, both the in its construction and the lighting you captured!
