While researching blue-eyed bee species in Texas, I ran into this interesting article about stingless bees which were held sacred by the Incas.
Is it possible that I captured a Melipona stingless bee? I would like to think so. Please feel free to comment.

Interresting article. I see a blue eye and don't see a stinger; perhaps you did capture a Melipona stingless bee.
