Think GREEN Jerry!

A Heaps of antiquated record players, phonographs, all crushed.

They are not being crushed as they are worth good money now and both new records and players are being made and are selling for good money.

I love dual monitors!.!
Can't imagine being without the second. No room for a third.
Photography: Explorer on one, editor on the other.
Genealogy: Browser on one, genealogy program on the other. (copy & paste is SO easy)
File movements: Source Explorer on one, destination Explorer on the other.
Web Development: Editor & FTP on one, website on the other.
And many more uses!

I also need monitors that can pivot. I often switch from portrait to landscape orientation. Sometimes both monitors on portrait, sometimes both on landscape and sometimes one on landscape and one on portrait.

What I find amazing is a fast food meal for 2 is now about $20. We don’t eat out much at all anymore. The “nice fancy” place in town you can’t get out for less than $125. Do you know how many groceries you can buy at Sam’s Club for that? Then the medium priced place is $50+ after tip ect.

I don't buy at Sam's club I have no membership. But I found grocery prices have gone up too. Of course eating at a restaurant is going to cost more than you cook yourself. A restaurant owner told me the cost of food must be less than 20% of the menu price. It's just inflation.

WHERE is the discussion from people who KNOW what they are talking about on WHAT this model will bring to the table ? All I read is comparisons to DSLRs etc.. and other non important trivia. Geez Louise, let's at least get some educated reviews from people in the know.

It's hard to talk about what it will bring when there is no specifications on it yet.

My memory is not as good as it might once have been (I can't remember!), but I am sure I remember micro$oft stating that they would no longer be launching new versions of windows every few years. They were just going to keep on adding improvements to the all-singing, all-dancing marvelous windows 10.

Maybe I dreamed it...

Microsoft never said so but there were rumors that MS made a jump from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 they will stop making versions higher than 10 and just keep adding features to Windows 10. But that was only rumors I don't think MS made the statement.

The more I think about this the more upset I become.... The highest profit margin item in the building and they are once again screwing the little guys. Shoot yourself in the foot... You will see the backlash. What do Hogs think ?

Let see if they get the backlash. I doubt it. But as long as they made you fill it yourself it's hard to enforce the no refill policy.

Not going to contact Microsoft. Will most likely call the guy who set up the computer, probably have him set up a new, larger SSD card.

Larger SSD has nothing to do with support.

Every weekend, a local guy puts up a dozen or more signs along the road saying he buys and sells records.

I think I paid about $5 or $6 for the records when they were new. I guess selling for about $8 is reasonable huh? No I checked the inflation calculator I have to sell for $15 to make even.

Athough I would like to have an optical drive too I think your tittle is wrong. It's not going backward. It's really going forward.

As you said, you're probably not going to find music CDs in stores - but you will find vinyl records. How ironic. On Amazon, Fleetwood Mac - vinyl $23, CD $8. 😋

It's all about trend. I still have my Fleetwood Mac LP back in the days. I guess it's time to sell them??

I have seen you on here before with the same statement/question. Can you not understand ?
It is Chit-Chat and therefore does not have to have anything what-so-ever to do with photography !!!!!!!!

The post was moved here. It was orgininally posted in the main photography section.

I looked it up, it had to be the D2Hs
Because the flagship Nikon Digital’s were all D1 D2 D3 with letters for variants so there was a D2, then D2H and finally the D2Hs
Those were aps c and I think CCD sensors which had great color.
The D3 switched to FF cmos and had iso 25k but still 12 MP.

There was no D2 only D2X and D2H.

That's a law that should not have been necessary. Covid-19 got me away from restaurants, and staying away now seems like a good idea. I'm a decent cook, and for the price of a restaurant meal that I may not like, I can eat for a week. I remember my $35 lasagna in town.

I used to never pay any tip or asked to when I did take out. When covid hit most people would only do take out and now the take out bill has the suggested tips on it.
