I'm new to all this...? What is 'full frame'? Does a Canon EOS T5 have it? I will google too. Thanks!! Happy pix taking!

Googling probably told you all you wanted to know, but if not, there is always someone here willing to elaborate.

I like 'talking' to someone much more. :) But use the search engines a lot. SO much to learn. S.

Go to DPReview.com you'll find a lot of info there. Here's what Wikipedia has to say:

A full-frame digital SLR is a digital single-lens reflex camera (DSLR) fitted with an image sensor that is the same size as a 35 mm (36×24 mm) film frame.[1][2] This is in contrast to cameras with smaller sensors, typically of a size equivalent to APS-C-size film, much smaller than a full 35 mm frame. Currently, the majority of digital cameras, both compact and SLR models, use a smaller-than-35 mm frame, as it is easier and cheaper to manufacture imaging sensors at a smaller size....

yes, I'm waiting for it to get here. And looking a pictures of it on B&H. Also trying to see if it's single frame. I think so. I think I need to get a protection policy for it in case I drop it or something. :) Susan

You could buy a good older camera to do what you want with a couple of kit lens. BH or Keh either would be good place to start. Also watch Craig's list or check with local friends that might be wanting to move up. I have Canon xsi that have served me well. I recently bought 60D but still use xsi depending on the circumstance. You can find some thing if you do some research and do not get in a hurry an make an impulse buy.

:) I like this line, 'I am not suffering from mental illness, I enjoy it." That's me. Lol! I ordered a Canon EOS T5, and now looking at lenses. But do need to learn the camera first. Lots to look forward to. Do you have work posted? I'd love to see if so. :) Susan

I'm thinking a Nikon, but want one better than my Canon
SX160 is with 16x zoom. I'd prefer one with full frame whatever it's called. I know I can't afford a slr, but interchangeable lenses is a must. Thanks a lot.

may i say there has been a lot of help offered here but you seem to not answer anyone's questions of help, 5 pages of tips and you have only chipped in once after your initial question ! you need to do some proper research as all the answers on here don't seem to be helping you, you cant or wont pay for the camera you want so improvise read the peoples answers and reply back would be my advice if your serious

I think you've gotten mixed in with the original poster of this thread...there is another person looking for a better camera. Look at the first post on page #1 of this thread. Unless you have two user names!

I agree - There was a lot of good advice given but when questions were asked of you, you were mute. I find this curious.
