I'm shooting with 100/400 version 1,i had is on and 1/1200 and hss most were ok lost some . my focus point was center and four surrounding points which I probably missed bird. The old saying how do you get to Carnegie Hall practice practice practice ๐๐๐ thanks I'll try with is off
Thanks revert and birdpix I will definitely look into the other forums. I never realized how huge this topic is till I started checking and getting out taking pics.i have been out a couple of times in the past few years, but this summer it has become habit forming๐ thanks again all
Thanks anvil already have both set to focus
Hi Martin,i used to canon 100/400 mm and had it on, in bif should that have be off?
Hi all, I was out taking bif yesterday I have a 7d m2. I had it to hss 10fps.i was reading in the past that the focus is blind when shutter is up possibly having more out of focus frames . Question is, are more pics better with possibility more out of focus pics or using a slower fps and having more time between shutter openings to gain more in focus pics? Am I over thinking this or is this really an issue thanks for the clarity bill
To follow up in this thread I would like to add a question . what to look for in the screen (monitor) . Are there color correctable models out there and what type to look for ? I hate always having to look straight on to get good resolution and color my old clunker is horrible thanks
I own 3, the 100-400l ver 1 ,24-70 2.8l ver 1 and 16-35 2.8 l. Bought my first digital camera years ago it was a rebel xti with a tamron16-200 3.5/6.3 non l lens I was very satisfied as a beginner then I started buying l lens and never looked back. yes a bit bigger and heavier but worth it! I also rented the 70-200 2.8 for my granddaughter recital stood in the back of a large auditorium got great results from there with a mono pod on my 7d m2. I would say if you have$$$ go for it. Think about getting the version 2 lens I'm thinking of trading my version 1 len's for version 2 once I hit the lottery๐๐.
Thanks for the replys. I tell you for me I cannot wait to get it. How many times at bd party's, graduations, anniversaries, etc etc. I take pretty good pics and with the abundance of cell phone snapping pics and posting them on social media as it happens makes me thinking its not necessary for me to take my heavy camera ! well that wouldn't happen I'll always have it. Even everyday pics with grandkids my daughter's snapping away with her phone and posting while I have pics in my camera and really can't do anything with them at the time .hope everyone gets my point. Can't wait for the release thanks again
Thanks lazy j! my sentiments exactly sometimes getting home from an affair is late and don't feel like a download at midnight or so to share . thanks for it info on the lack of issues you had with mobi card
Sometimes you're clients would like to see things that you're discussing right away and the more toys the better ๐
Hi all , this my be a bit early to ask but canon is releasing a new wifi card for three cameras .I bought the 7d m2 within a week of its release and wanted to get wifi card but since it has a magnesium body they really didn't work.just wondering if the new card will work as advertised and if so does anyone know what the difference is to accomplish it.
Now a second question, since my camera still has the first firmware I never upgraded to 1.04 because the only fix for me is the 16-35 2.8 lens which I did a micro adj which solve that focus issue. but now with the new wifi card I read a firmware upgrade may be necessary just wondering did anyone know if it would be 1.04 or Will canon release a new version I know this is early for asking so forgive me.
I also heard some people had lockup problems when they did firmware upgrades should I be concerned with this ? Thanks everyone bill
I owned the 7d for almost 3 years the biggest downfall it had in my opinion was the noisy iso. When the mark2 came out I jumped on it and no regrets whatsoever much much better ISO and many other improvements. I'd say once you decide on one go and rent it for a weekend or so and see if it meets your satisfaction
